Job comments
Notes that stay with the job
Every job has its own Comments thread on its detail page. It’s where notes about that specific piece of work live, a question about the art, a heads-up about a substitution, a note for the next shift. Because the thread is attached to the job, the context never gets separated from the work.
How it works
- Add a top-level comment, or reply to one (one level deep).
- Comments are grouped by day, with separators like “Today” and “Yesterday.”
- Each comment shows who wrote it and when. Workers’ comments are marked so it’s clear when a note came from the floor.
- You can delete your own comments; admins can delete any.
Comments vs. team chat
Job comments and team chat are separate on purpose:
- Job comments are tied to one job and visible to anyone working it. They’re the record of that job’s conversation.
- Team chat is person-to-person, and follows you across the whole app.
Use comments for “everything about this job in one place,” and chat for “I need to reach this person.”
