Adding a fee

Beyond the garments, most jobs carry charges: screen setup, a rush surcharge, an art fee. Add these to a quote as fees. Each fee row has:

Fee — the name the customer sees.
Qty — a multiplier. Four screens at $20 is one fee with a qty of 4.
Price — the amount, per unit of qty.
% — tick this and Price is read as a percentage instead of dollars.
Taxed — whether tax applies to this fee.
Total — calculated for you.

Fees roll into the quote total and carry over to the invoice when the quote is approved.

How percentage fees are calculated

A percentage fee is a percentage of the line-item subtotal, then multiplied by its quantity:


fee total = subtotal x (price / 100) x qty

The subtotal is your line items only. Other fees and tax are not in the base, so percentage fees never compound on each other.

Tax is charged on the subtotal plus any fee marked Taxed. Untaxed fees add to the total but not to the tax base.

Fee presets

The same handful of fees show up on most quotes. Save them once as fee presets in Settings → Fee presets so you can drop them onto any quote in a click instead of retyping.

For each preset you set:

Name and amount (fixed or percentage).
Taxable — whether tax applies.
Show by default — whether it appears automatically on new quotes.

A preset marked show by default lands on every new quote ready to go, which is handy for a standard setup charge you apply to nearly everything. Presets you use only sometimes stay one click away in the fee picker.
