Build your own workflow
No two shops run the same way. So ManagePrint doesn’t make you run ours. Your invoice pipeline is built from statuses you control, add them, name them, color them, and put them in the order your work actually flows.
This is one of ManagePrint’s biggest features. It’s how a generic tool becomes your shop’s tool.
The pipeline you shape: invoices
The invoice pipeline tracks an order from won to out-the-door, and it’s yours to shape. Out of the box it’s:
New → Pending Approval → Approved → In Production → Completed → Shipped/Delivered
This is where the order lives all the way through fulfillment, so it’s where customizing pays off.
Quote statuses are fixed. A quote always moves through Draft, Sent, Approved, and Rejected. That’s the pre-sale path, and it doesn’t change. Customization applies to invoice statuses.
Add the stages your shop needs
The default pipeline ends at Shipped/Delivered, but you decide what sits in between. Common additions:
- QC — a quality-control checkpoint after production, before anything leaves.
- Receiving — for blanks or finished goods coming in.
- Out for delivery, Picked up, On hold — whatever your floor actually says out loud.
Why it matters
A pipeline that matches your real process is one your team will actually keep current. And a board that’s kept current is what makes your dashboard and analytics tell the truth. Custom statuses aren’t decoration. They’re the foundation everything else reads from.
