The production board

The production board is your whole floor at a glance. It’s the default view on the Jobs page.

What it actually looks like

The board is a list, not a column-per-stage kanban, and nothing on it drags. Jobs move stage by being advanced, never by being dropped somewhere. See Advancing stages.

One row per job. Each row shows:

The invoice number, linked to the job page.
A rollup status badge, the job’s derived stage. See how the rollup works.
The scheduled date, if it has one.
The job name and customer.
Mockup thumbnails, up to two, with a “+N” for the rest.
A segmented progress bar, one segment per part, each coloured by that part’s stage, with “N/M done” underneath.
The assigned worker.

Click a row to expand it. Inside you get a six-column mini board of that job’s parts: PND, PREP, APPR, OK, PROD, DONE, with each part sitting in its current column, showing its worker and its location progress.

Shops in the pre-production statuses beta see an extra row of stoplights next to the scheduled date, and a full set of status pickers inside the expanded view. Everyone else sees neither.

The stages

A job moves through six stages:

Pending: created, not yet started.
In Prep: art, screens, or files are being prepared.
Awaiting Approval: holding for a customer or internal sign-off.
Approved: cleared to print.
In Production: on the press or machine.
Completed: done and ready to hand off.

Cancelled is a seventh status. Cancelled jobs are excluded from the board. To see them, switch to List view and filter for them.

Narrowing the board

The toolbar across the top:

Search by job, customer, or invoice number.
Worker filter.
Stage filter, any one of the six.
Date picker, plus a Today button to jump back.
Sort by Scheduled Date or Newest First.
Hide completed, a switch that is on by default. If a job you just finished has vanished, that’s why. Flip it off to see everything.

Board or list

The Jobs page has a Board / List toggle. List view is a plain table with a status filter that includes All Statuses and Cancelled, checkboxes for selection, and a bulk delete button that appears once you’ve selected rows.

Bulk delete removes the jobs outright. It’s the fastest way to clean up an import gone wrong, and the fastest way to lose real work. Check the selection before you confirm.

Why the board is always right

Every stage change is recorded as a timestamped event. That does two things at once:

The board reflects the true, current state of every job, in real time. No one has to remember to update a spreadsheet.
Your analytics are built from those same events, so you get accurate phase timings, cycle time, and on-time delivery for free, without anyone filling out a timesheet.

Scheduling jobs

To put jobs on specific days, use the Schedule, a drag-and-drop calendar that sits alongside the board. Worker assignment happens there too, from a picker on the card rather than by dragging.
