Custom domain
By default a store lives at a manageprint.shop link. Custom domain lets
you put a store on your own web address instead, shop.yourshop.com or
similar, so customers order from a domain with your name on it, not ours.
This is a beta feature, invite-only right now. ManagePrint invites a handful of shops by email; an admin accepts or declines from a link, the same way as pre-production statuses and tasks. If your shop hasn’t been invited, the Custom Domain card won’t appear in a store’s settings. Email success@manageprint.shop to ask about getting in.
Adding a domain
Open the store’s settings
Go to the store’s Settings page. Enrolled shops see a Custom Domain card below the regular store fields.
Enter the domain
Type it without https://, for example shop.yourshop.com. Only an admin can
add or remove a domain.
Prefer a subdomain like shop.yourshop.com. It sits alongside the
website you already have. Your bare domain (yourshop.com) works too, but
it replaces whatever site is there now, the card warns you before you
add one.
Add the DNS record we give you
Once added, the domain shows Setting up for a few seconds, then usually Waiting on DNS with one record to add: an A record for a bare domain, a CNAME for a subdomain. Copy it into whatever registrar or DNS host you bought the domain from.
Wait for it to go live
We check every couple of minutes and pick up the DNS record automatically, no need to come back and click anything. Most registrars take 10 to 30 minutes; some take longer to propagate.
Once DNS is correct, the domain shows Issuing certificate while we get you a security certificate. This is usually a few minutes but can take up to an hour. There’s nothing to do here either, but hold off on sharing the link until the domain shows Live, since the first visitors to click a link before then would hit a browser security warning instead of your store.
If it asks you to verify ownership
Occasionally a domain shows Waiting on verification with a different kind of record (a TXT record) instead of the usual DNS one. This only happens if that domain’s root is already known to Vercel, the infrastructure ManagePrint runs on, under another account. Add the record it shows, then choose Check again. Most shops never see this step.
Checkout stays on your domain
Once a domain is live, browsing, cart, and checkout all stay on it end to end.
A buyer who pays on shop.yourshop.com is returned to
shop.yourshop.com/checkout/success, not a manageprint.shop link.
One domain, one store
Each domain points at exactly one store, and a domain already connected to another shop can’t be added to yours. You can add more than one domain to a shop, one per store, up to a limit generous enough that you’re unlikely to hit it.
Removing a domain
Choose the trash icon next to a domain to remove it. The store goes back to
its manageprint.shop link immediately.
