Editing & statuses
Editing a quote
While a quote is still a draft or sent, you can open it and change anything: line items, sizes, locations, fees, and price. Send the revised version and the customer reviews it fresh.
The four quote statuses
A quote always moves through the same fixed path:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | You’re still building it. The customer hasn’t seen it. |
| Sent | It’s out for approval. |
| Approved | The customer signed off. An invoice and job were created. |
| Rejected | The customer declined. |
Quote statuses are fixed. They describe the pre-sale path and don’t change. The pipeline you do customize is your invoice statuses, where you can add stages like QC, receiving, and shipped. See Build your own workflow.
After approval
Once a quote is approved it has done its job. From there you work with the invoice it created (for the money) and the job it created (for the work).
